welcome to the indoor plants home page

This page will be your home-base while you're doing your THING.

There are 3 steps to successfully growing indoor plants:

1. Know where to put your plants

2. Choose your plants

3. Know how to care for them

You should always pick out a spot in your home or office first, then choose a plant that will thrive in that space. While it can be tempting to choose the plant first, your plant won’t grow up to be big and healthy due to non-optimal levels of light, temperature, and/or humidity.

Click the buttons below to learn about each step of the process.

Two quick reminders

You don't have to do your THING every day.

Some days you aren't going to have free time to do your THING, and that's okay.  When you do, make it your goal to do your THING right away.  The goal is to build a habit of defaulting to your THING during your free time instead of all of the other things that feel aimless. There's always time for those after you do your THING.

The time you spend on your THING each day isn't all that important.

The goal isn't to spend an hour taking care of plants every day. The goal is to do something related to indoor plants every day (watering, dusting, rotating, pruning, research, etc.). The most important part of doing your THING is choosing to do it in the first place and using that decision to build healthy free time habits.
